[CS:S BHOP] TAS - bhop_badges
Counter-Strike: Source Bunnyhopping - Watch in 720p!
Settings: Autobhop - 1000 airaccelerate
Tools used: Checkpoints
This is a Tool Assisted (TAS) speedrun, meaning it was not done in real-time, with checkpoints and slowed down gameplay (then played back at normal speed, also known as 'timescaling'), in order to achieve a somewhat perfected, segmented run without any fails for your viewing pleasure/route display. This is in no way meant to be a display of skill by the TASer as it's possible to undo mistakes, circumvent human reflexes and precision by altering the timescale. No run under this category should be acknowledged as a human achievement as it may not be possible to play the map with such consistency, speed control, strafe synchronization and precision. Keep in mind that this is a completely different category of bunnyhopping.
Why upload these kinds of runs?
Because they are entertaining to watch, and because it's interesting to see how far things can be pushed.
How are these runs made exactly?
There are multiple ways to achieve these kinds of videos. The most common one is to use a checkpoint plugin that saves your velocity and position, record each section of the map separately then later edit them all together for a smooth continuous run. Hacks such as movement recording, re-recording and other plugins can also be used although it's not recommended as checkpoint recording and video editing is easier and leaves more room for perfection.
If you have a Tool Assisted run that you want to make or have uploaded, here are a few things you should know:
- Maps with music/ambience in them will have their default audio playing (no music will be added)
- Only maps where it's interesting to see these kinds of runs on will be accepted (difficult/long maps).
- Only the quickest runs of each map will remain public.
Any run submitted as anything but a TAS will be ignored, you may end up getting banned from submitting future runs and have any existing ones deleted.
Want your CS:S bhop/kz/xc demo on YouTube in high quality?
Any run uploaded onto this channel isn't necessarily the fastest for that map/category.
