Sonic Advance was Sonic the Hedgehog's second appearance on a Nintendo console (being beaten by Sonic Adventure 2: Battle on the GameCube by 10 days), and he brought all his friends with him. You can play as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, or Amy on a mission to stop Dr. Eggman from taking over South Island.

The pink hedgehog Amy Rose gets a run of her own at TASVideos to go along with the Knuckles run (http://tasvideos.org/2138M.html) and a couple of Sonic (http://tasvideos.org/2028M.html) runs (http://tasvideos.org/1665M.html). Amy is not as fast as Sonic, but she has her own tricks for preserving speed, and she has a very useful hammer.
