TAS 2015

Technion Aerial Systems (TAS) team in an integration experiment for its new payload system conducted Dec. 25th 2014. The improved payload consists of a stabilized camera, was fitted on top of last year's UAV for the testing.The UAV and subsystems were all designed, manufactured and built by Technion students.

This year the project is supported by leading companies from the industry: Rafael, Elbit Systems and Trudler Composite Materials.

TAS is a group of students from the Aerospace and Electrical Engineering faculties working towards representing the Technion in the AUVSI SUAS competition in the US.

The system includes a fully autonomous UAV capable of takeoff/landing, navigation, image capture and relay, automatic recognition, cargo drop, obstacle avoidance and more.

Tehnion Aerial Systems הינה קבוצת סטודנטים משולבת מהפקולטות אווירונוטיקה וחלל וחשמל אשר פועלים לקראת ייצוג הטכניון בתחרות בינלאומית AUVSI שבארה"ב.

המערכת כוללת מזל"ט אוטונומי בעל יכולות המראה/נחיתה, ניווט, צילום ושידור תמונות, פענוח אוטומטי, הצנחת מטען, הימנעות ממכשולים ועוד.
